Op 5 maart 2006 behaalde Freddy op de Internationale Show in Zuidlaren wederom een tweede plaats in de klasse Jonge Honden.   De Engelse keurmeester Mrs J. Cole (Groot-Britannië) schreef in het keuringsrapport: "Nice type, good head, kind expression. Good reach of neck. Nice bone and feet. Well bodied with good spring of ribs. Moved okay. Excellent."    Mrs Cole keurt Freddy (op sloffen)  .    Pip en Freddy achter het bordje!  .  Op 4 december 2005 heeft Freddy op de Winner International Dog Show in Amsterdam de tweede prijs in de klasse "Jonge honden" behaald. Door een stomme fout van ons heeft hij niet meegedongen naar de titel "Reserve CACIB". We waren zo blij met de tweede plaats, dat we zijn vergeten dat we nog een keer de ring in moesten.   De Spaanse keurmeester A. Thovar Del Solar sprak het volgende oordeel uit over Freddy: "excellent tipo, excellent cabeza, buena denticion, excellent angulacion (delantera y trasera), bueno linea superior, excellent movimiento frontal y lateral." (Uitmuntend type, uitmuntend hoofd, goed gebit, uitmuntende hoekingen (voor en achter), goede toplijn, uitmuntend gangwerk voor en achter.)  Onze volgende show met Freddy (en wellicht andere toppers van Joe Batt's Arm) is op 5 maart 2006 in Zuidlaren.   ,  Pip en ik zijn op zondag 20 november voor het eerst met Freddy naar een show geweest (Zwolle). Kwalificatie: uitmuntend. Het oordeel van de Australische keurmeester Mrs Lynne Brand luidde als volgt: "Chocolate dog, 19 months old, broad skull, pleasing expression, well constructed forequarter, good bone, enough body, strong throughout, carries good topline, could be stronger in loin, moves well, good strong tail. Excellent."   Op 4 december 2005 gaan we met Freddy naar de Winner in Amsterdam!

On September 2 2006, at the Clubshow of the French Retriever Club at Sully sur Loire, Black was made Best male and Best of Breed. With this win, Black became a French Champion!
